The Gambian Civil Service is in shambles. There is no rhyme or reason to the
incessant firing and hiring. It is a sorry shame to sit and watch the
institution that many of our parents worked tirelessly to mold and maintain
over decades be reduced to a tool of political exploitation.

Civil servants are at the mercy of a despot whose intellctual capacity is
beyond comprehension. What happened to the civil service code of conduct?.
What redress do these people have after putting a whole lifetime in the
service?.

Gone are the days when civil servants had the right to choose their
political affilition without retribution. Gone are the days when a civil
servant would and could do their work without fear or favor. In these times
of PROFESSIONAL PROSTITUTION we have career professionals and highly
educated gambians who continue to associate and allign themselves with a
regime that is blatantly repressive and barbaric.

There is no justification for this sad state of affairs.
