My heartfelt condolences to the families of the departed. May God grant them
eternal blessings. I had the fortune of knowing Assan Secka through his
beloved wife Fatou Mbye. Mr Secka was the consummate gentleman. He worked
hard and loved his family.
Mr Dacosta was also an outstanding citizen who worked tirelessly to make
Gambian society better. I am eternally grateful for the moral clarity he
exercised when some of our socalled Imams and 'opinion leaders' were
obfuscating and telling outright lies when the school children were murdered
by Yahya Jammeh and his government. He called it plain mass murder and
publicly made that clear to all Gambians by going to the radio. He sided with
God and the truth and may he be rewarded.
Karamba
