Karim:
Believe me, Amnesty International (AI) and those responsible for our daily
bread by giving us handouts are keeping a close watch on the progress of the
human rights situation in Banjul. AI has an office out there, and their
reports are almost always very accurate. Our performance in this area in
particular, will determine whether The Gambia continues to receive handouts
or not.

I understand that the UDP had planned to rally over the weekend in Brikama,
and given the regime's ban on any political rallies, which BTW I simply do
not understand, a disruption was to be expected. Karim, do you know how the
rally was disrupted?
