Exactly Ginny, the only reason Hillary says she will be ready on day one is befcause Bill will be there. Also, one Blogger raised a very good point, that iHillary winning this nomination and the presidency would be something that feminists can celebrate only if she did it by not holding onto Bill Clinton's coat tails and not playing dirty to win by any means necessary.
With the way things are going, it is quite evident that the last thing thte Clintons are counting on is ot win super delegates even if the country did not vote for them.
However, I think that this can backfire in one of two ways:
1. The matter will go to court and a mess will ensue
2. If she prevails in her maneuvers and gets the support of the super delegates, then she will lose the election because people will not vote or they will vote for McCain.
However, I am still hopeful for two reasons, that either the super delegates will not want to find themselves on the hot seat and will go with the candidate that has the most popular votes based on both the actual votes cast in all the primaries as well as the results of national polls that both the media and other Pollsters are now conducting to see who the American people think has the best chance to win opposite McCain or, the results of the remaining primaries will give Obama such a wide margin of wins that he will get the lion's share of the delegates that will allow him to surpass Clinton so that both the decided and undecided super delegates will think twice about casting their votes for her.
As I said, depending on how things turn out, this could get quite messey before it is all over.
Yep, you are not alone, if Clinton fanagles the nomination somehow, a lot of folks will stay home on election day and somehow, if the Democratic party is foolish enough to take that gamble, they will also alienate a good chunk of long time supporters who they may never get back.

Hello, Omar and all, unfortunately, I'd not count on the Super Delegates to
upport Obama,
illary's got the establishment behind her, and the super delegates are part of
he establishment,
lus, as I said before, Hillary is dirty! And she'll do anything to win, imho,
ven if it means
lienating a large block of erstwhile democratic party supporters or ruining the
arty itself to
et that win.

know I'd said previous that I'd thought my aversion to Hillary had stemmed
rimarily from me
istening to too much Rush Limbaugh when I was younger, but unfortunately, it
eems that the
right wing conspiracy" was pretty much right about her, unfortunately. And
ill Clinton has
eally disappointed me in this race and doesn't seem to be "as much a fan of
lack people" as
aybe we once thought he was, and definitely not the "first black President".
I'd also thought that if she got the nomination that I'd just hold my nose and
ote for her but I
on't think I can in good conscience do that! I never thought I'd say this but
'd sooner vote
or McCain than her! Though I don't think I'll vote for him either! Perhaps
'll abstain from
he Presidential vote and only vote for my representatives/other measures on the
allot in
ovember.

he only thing that makes hillary "ready from day one" is her husband! And I
on't want a dynasty
or a co-Presidency!
Ginny
