Good luck brother Latjor, If time allows me on that night to attend the show yet not miss any part of the Saturday night gambian party, I surely will try to attend.

But brother, I still think that you could and should have picked a different night. I admire your business undertakings, but you need to be considerate when making certain decisions. Just like Jufureh production here in Atlanta did in cancelling their Assan Ndiaye concert for that night.

Viviane N'Dour concert in ATLANTA tickets are now available via TICKETMASTER (online at ticketmaster.com, or PUBLIX STORE, TOWER RECORDS, VARIETY PLAYHOUSE BOX OFFICE). Doors open 7:30, showtime 8:30 pm. (Gibby obviously did not attend the Youssou N'Dour show in April hence his erroneous assertion that we will not begin at the time we stated. This is a statewide event, not a Gambian event, the very reason why it is being promoted throughout the city in diverse media outlets - African-American, Caribbean, Whites etc... ). Two other acts are scheduled to perform : The MIDNITE BAND (St. Croix) are considered as perhaps the foremost roots reggae band following in the footsteps of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. The Jamaican claim to conscious reggae music is about to be challenged. The SUN'S OF LIGHT (formerly THE BOYS) are platinum recording artists the states. They have been residing in The Gambia for the past several years helping raise the standard of the music in Gambia and Senegal. In Viviane's new album, TERE NELAW, a few of the songs were produced by them. Listen to samples of the music of the various bands at www.africafest.com/viviane/event/event_atl.htm Nuff said!

I love Vivianne's music and would love the opportunity to attend the show, but I just feel that the wrong night was chosen for this show. No matter how they phrase it or schedule it on this day, it will always interfere with the Saturday events. > >I have never heard of a show that they said will start at 8:30 and it did. Even if it does, the soccer events at the field doesn't end till after 10pm. You know that and everybody that has been coming to the July4th event. i think it is time for the self centered businesspeople out there to stop using the July 4th weekend that the gambians have strived for years to organise, for their own selfish financial gain. The money that they are making out of this concert doesn't have anything to do with the Atlanta gambian organisation or the gambians as a whole. It all goes to one self centered person that is using the event to make himself richer. why does it always have to happen that the people have to pick a choice of which event to attend on Saturday night and not everybody just attending one event. > >We've been through this before my brother, and everybody in ATL knows the real deal why the soccer team took over the hosting of the events.
