That was a nice joke. Now let try to locate the missing dollar. I think
the missing dollar is behind the multiplication process or the
assumption of the three boys that each of them had actually paid $9.

If we therefore clear the assumption, we shall see that the sum total
paid by the three boys was actually $25 + $2 stolen by the messenger +$3
assuming returned to the three boys = $30. The missing dollar,
therefore, was not at all stolen but was hidden behind the
multiplication process or, like Isaid before, in the assumption that
eadh of them had paid $9.
