BREAKING NEWS:I WAS THE DRIVING FORCE OF THE UDP-WAA JUWARA- HE SAYS UDP/NRP ALLIANCE IS NOT A THREAT TO NADD!!!!
Following the naming of the coalition’s flag bearer for the coming presidential elections, the National Alliance for Democracy and Development (NADD) held its first political rally in Brikama. The well-coordinated rally attracts tens of thousands of supporters both within and outside Brikama.

The leader of the National Democratic Action Movement (NDAM) and an executive member of the alliance in his opening remarks started by thanking the party militants and the residents of Brikama. Waa went further to say that the government of the day has no direction and don’t know where to go next. This he said lead to the appointment of former PPP officials by the regime. “That is why we have all seen the President appointing former PPP officials in to key positions and what should this mean to Gambians? he questioned.

Mr. Juwara went further to say I am not a diplomat, but a politician and I will do everything possible to work together with NADD to rescue Gambians from the dictatorship and corruption as this is our last hope.

Mbarodi also hinted on the defection of some opposition members to the ruling Party, whom he described as unpatriotic citizens, because they see our country sinking and they are helping in sinking the Gambia. Mr. Juwara a powerful figure in Gambian politics also said he was the driving force in the UDP and “I am no more with them so UDP/NRP coalition is not a threat to NADD.”

Mr. Lamin Juwara went further to call on both Mr. Ousainou Darboe, Hamat Bah and Sheriff Mustapha Dibba leaders of the United Democratic Party (UDP), National Reconciliation Party (NRP) and National Convention Party (NCP) respectively to all come back and join NADD for a unified opposition front and help in transforming the Gambia into a democratic heaven in Africa.

He said" I am calling on Mr. Ousainou Darboe, Hamat Bah and Sheriff Dibba to all come back and join NADD. Mbarodi finally calls on all and sundry to rally behind NADD as it is the only way forward. Mbarodi said. He added "I am calling on all Gambians to rally behind NADD for a better future and I would want to make it clear that there was and there is no miss trust within the executive of NADD as claimed by others he concluded.

For his part, Kemeseng Jammeh (Alias Mandela) cleared the air and rumors of him being a member of the UDP. Mandela said” Let me clear the air now, I am not a member of the UDP. I am 100% NADD member.Mr. Jammeh went further to advice Gambians to rally behind NADD by demonstrating their birth rights and that is by voting NADD into office.

The flag bearer Hon Halifa Sallah, reminded the gathering about their civic rights. He said, the government is everyday taking loans and our debt is over 2 billion Dalasis and every time we are donated either in cash or kind and some of our institutions are pumping in a lot of money, but we are not seeing these monies.

Mr.Sallah the man with unquestionable integrity said NADD will be a government which will be working under the dictates of the general public and the appointment of any ministerial position is not final without the approval of the executive and any President under NADD ticket can only stay in power for 5 years only and cannot run for another term neither support any potential candidate.

Mr. Sallah also promise some amendments in the constitution especially areas dealing with the department of state for local government which is mandated to appoint and terminate a head chief which according to Sallah was undemocratic. He finally promises a healthy and democratic Gambia under a NADD government. Other speakers included Omar Jallow (Alias O.J),
Hon Sidia Jatta, Landing Jallow Sonko, Ya Fatou Sonko, Amie Sillah and the Brikama youth leader who all express similar sentiments.
