For the public to know, because it is to the best interest of everyone these days, to see beyond those verbous press releases from Banjul.
A method of approach has been put in place following the deadly shooting incident when Deyda lost his dear and precious life. This has already started sending the following signals.

Similarities between Lawyer Ousman Sillah and Late Deyda Haidara:-

Social:-
Both were/are members of The Lion's club in The Gambia.Lawyer Ousman Sillah was the First Vice President.Deyda Haidara the second Vice President of the Lion's Club. Both are close friends and like/d discussing and then making sure that they put a stop to some mishaps that are affecting our people now by acting not by talking.

Professional:-
Both have the same approach when it comes to digging into hidden details as soon as a case is put before them. Lawyer Sillah does not fear digging and following leads that could affect or threaten the interest of big wigs at all cost. He usually stands to protect the helpless even if it means going to Mile Two and then meeting his client/s in their cells for more information. Landing Sanneh and co can attest to that. Baba Jobe also, because the records are still there for all and sundry to recall what was going on before Sillah was shot near his residence.
Deyda as a journalist was never scared to follow what he thought was/is necessary for the public to know.He liked digging into hidden details regardless of who it concerned,be the person powerful or powerless. This earned him his position within the International arena of journalism.

Timing, crime scene and circumstantial evidence(so far...):-

Both men were shot at night. Both men were shot three times. Both men first received bullets on the head,Sillah having been a military officer(and a force to reckon with in the field) chose to stoop down before the other bullets hit.He also received three bullets like Deyda. Both men were being stalked by the killers,Sillah noticed them one day near Brikama Nyambai forest area well before the day he was shot. They changed strategies and then came to stay and wait for him near his home unexpectedly during one dark night! They were hiding under a shady tree! Both were shot in the month of december just before christmas. Is the timing based on spiritual guidance(in favour of the killers)? It could as well be or absolutely not! But could as well be reasonable clue in a society that has since been hijacked by rituals that call for blood and skulls from enemies of the power hungry! Were the shooters intending to kill both Sillah and Haidara? Well the death of the latest victim has proven
everything about the desire to kill, beyond reasonable doubt.
Sillah was neither static nor moving because he had just pressed his car's horn for his compound's gate to be opened by the watchman, during that period was when the shooters started! His car's engine was on at the time.
Deyda was indeed in motion because his car was moving when he was shot.Do amateurs attempt moving targets? Usually not! Do professionals attempt moving targets? Well logic teaches that the answer should be yes, because they have been trained to do so. Thats what soldiers call...Snap shooting, sniping and the like.
Last but not least while associating the variables in both case is the million dollar question....Who shot these guys and why?
Logic steal teaches that crimes when they occur are investigated with the help of clues.
What are the clues in both crimes? That tension existed between both victims and the statusquo before they were shot!
There are possibilities for rumours and accusations to be made. How do states encourage rumours? By sidelining facts, responsibilities and the rule of law where the latter are highly demanded or needed during tensions or excessive suspicion!
Are there concrete evidences and who is legally responsible of providing them? The police! What has so far been done on Sillah's case? Nothing. Does the public have confidence in the state as far as Haidara's also is concerned? Absolutely not!
If the public had confidence why would there be a huge public out cry even in Dakar?
We have been reliably informed that if the gvt in Banjul wants to trample upon Gambians who want to demonstrate against Deyda's death then neighbouring gvts like Bissau and Dakar are ready to allow such demonstrations take place in their capitals! Is that true? Well a demonstration has already taken place in Dakar and many will follow suit. This time those demonstrations will be sponsored by sources that will not be divulged by me on line!
Good night!

Yours Sincerely,
Essa Bokarr Sey.
