Hi Ebrima Sillah

I agree with you that Mr Charles Sam cannot be right
in his generalisations about the failure of Gambians
to live by our national anthem AS NINE OUT OF TEN
GENERALISATIONS ARE WRONG.On the other side of the
coin,I am disappointed that you feel so hurt by the
writings of the gentleman.Your response is at best a
face saving effort.Every bit of Mr Sam's statements is
true of a large number of Gambians. He is not even the
first to remind us of the words of our National
Anthem. One Besenty Gomez wrote similar views in one of
our newspapers about a year ago.

Before you wage an intellectual war on anybody, make
sure you cultivate the mettle to accommodate scathing
truths about yourself or your beloved
GAMBIA.Patriotism should not be limited to praise
singing of the Smiling Coast,Smiling People. If you
will only be positive, you must be telling half-tories
and half-truths which will not help GAMBIA KAIRA BANKU
