Thanks f or the update. It is good to know  that succeeding Caliphates denounced the innovations of the "bai faals".
However, there is still the issue of the adulation that is heaped on the late Serigne Bamba with the "maggal" etc. After the Prophet (SAS) died, some of his companions were devastated and Abubakr said to them, If you worship Muhammed, Muhammed is dead but if you worship Allah, He is eternal.

here about the strayed ‘Bai-faals.” It is fair from my part to accompany this 
topic to the end despite my wish to stay away from any discussion that irritates 
others due to the topic’s sensitivity. But the questioner cannot be wrong in 
looking for answers about things like these that are of interest to him. 


JUST FOR THE RECORDS:
A friend of mine who once visited the place and met the one who departed (R.I.P 
Imam Mbacke!) has a lot to offer on the topic. From his own words, the 
succeeding caliphates denounced it loud and clear. In fact he added that the 
‘Bai-faals’ are punished when they show up in Touba. I cannot wait to see his 
article soon.
