Hi

A sixth form student Andrew Hazell at North Bromsgrove High School (which has a link with Armitage Sen Sec Schl) wanted me to anwer the questions below. I am sure many members of Gambia-L are more informed than me - so please can you help? Reply to [log in to unmask]
(Aplogies if you think he asks the wrong questions - he is a sincere student.

1. How much aid does The Gambia receive every year from Britain?

2. To what degree are Gambians conscious of membership of the Commonwealth? Does it make much difference?

3. What presence is there in The Gambia to indicate membership of The Commonwealth?

4. How efficient do you judge the government?

5. What is being done to make good the lack of natural resouces in the country?

6. How easy is it for Gambians to set up a business?

7. What assistance does the governmet offfer to entrepreneurs?

8. How well do businesses fare in The Gambia? How long do they survive? Is growth quick or slow?

If you can be kind enough to answer one or two of the questions I am sure he will be very grateful. Thanks very much.
