Wow, this sounds great Ablaye, and it is so nice to see all those Gambian
enterpreneurs. Sounds like these guys are doing some serious "teh sito" over
there in Detroit. I wish them the best.

If you are ever in Detroit, Michigan, be sure to dine at the "African
Kitchen," where you are sure to have a wonderful dining experience under
the skillful hands of owners, Muhtarr Jallow, and Bakary (Bax) Jammeh.
Here, you can have all the Senegambian delicacies including, "Chep or
Bena-Chin," "Supakanja," "Maffe or Domoda" among others, and a large
glass of "wonjo" to wash it down, as you converse with the likes of
Harona Drammeh and Fatou Cammara of GRTS.

And should you stay long enough while listening to the latest music
videos from home, and enjoying a bowl of "Chackree," for dessert, you
could indulge further in two, even three glasses of "Attaya" or
green-tea. The portions and prices are generous and the ambiance is
 typically Senegambian.

Next door, is a well stocked store selling items from The Gambia. You
can buy clothes, Islamic texts, "Carraw" for "Rui or Monno," "Bui" for
"Nan-Mburru," if you wish to make your own, even though the "African
 Kitchen's" is simply delicious.

A few buildings away on both sides of the "Kitchen" and Shop, are two
hair-braiding salons owned by Mariama and Fatou, who each perform
wonders with hair, and whose attractive business cards are made by Sutay
 Jammeh's Printing Business.

Later in the evening, you can cheer on the Gambian team as they play
against the Jamaican team, and witness the football/soccer wizzidary of
these young Gambians under Coach, Lamin Jammeh, and who with Amie Jagne
and Naffi Jammeh, team up to make delicious marinated "Affra."

So, be sure to visit the "African Kitchen" when you are in Detroit, and
meet other Gambians. You are assured of a good-time and a "home" away
 from home.

Many thanks to the Gambian Community in Detroit for a wonderful weekend,
and keep up the good work.
