The President of Kaninlai(as we should now refer to him since he tends to
avoid pressure and the burden of Presidency by not living at the State
House)is paying a heavy price for his insane acts and animal behavior. It is
absolutely sad that, in the 21st Century, we have a President who does not
understand the fundamental distinction between a Presidential Responsibility
and Personal Desire. These two factors often conflict, and it must always be
the former that should prevail at all cost. Unfortunately, we have a
president whose personal desire always prevail over the Presidential
responsibility. Some of the situations a President often faces require an
Avoidance-Avoidance conflict scenario, which puts enormous burden on the
President, which becomes the test of his time, but which of course is
utterly antagonistic to his Personal desire; but he must act on the basis of
Moral Prism and not on Egoism. For it is those Presidential decisions and
responsibilities that are dictated by Moral Principle become the prudent
decisions and responsibilities that encourage effective leadership.

These qualities are what Jammeh lacks, and consequently, the entire country
is paying a heavy price too; because each and every insane and immoral
decision he takes, always leave a huge vacuum in the country. A typical of
such insane decision to protect his personal desire was the shooting of
innocent school children, which of course cost the entire country dearly.
Furthermore, endorsing the course of the Cassamance Rebels and supporting
them to achieve their objective is another insane decision on the part of
Jammeh, which comes back to hunt him. A vivid indication of this is the
recent arrest of Cassamance Rebels with Gambian documents, and which are of
course furnished by Jammeh; and that offended and angered President Abdoulie
Wade of Senegal. And to express his frustration and anger to Jammeh,
President Wade recently dispatched his special envoy to meet Jammeh and
express the anger and frustration to Jammeh himself personally. This is
another headache for Jammeh.

In addition, to these insane acts, Jammeh is also facing the Crude Oil
"Sagga" which may soon be investigated by Parliament; another mental
challenge to his mediocre brain. And the leader of UDP, Ousanou ?Darboe has
gathered every meticulous details and proofs of Jammeh's Crude Oil deal with
President Sani Abacha. This was the very act he had denounced and accused
former President, Sir Dawda Jawara of doing; now the relay baton has been
given to Jammeh too. What then happens to the Era of TRANSPARENCY AND
ACCOUNTABILITY. I guess it has gone through Jammeh's bed room window.
Similarly, during the time of his closest friend and insane President, Sani
Abacha of Nigeria, Jammeh had dispatched a special congratulatory letter to
Abacha for having the guts to put President Obasanjo on death row, whiles he
was detained by Abacha. And after Obasanjo took over, that very letter
Jammeh dispatched to Abacha has been seen on files; and this is what has
devastated President Obasanjo. Again, this is another headache for Jammeh's
mediocre brain. No wonder Jammeh is contemplating on taking an 18 months
Mental leave.

All these insane decisions created an AVOIDANCE-AVOIDANCE conflict for
Jammeh, which he has no other choice, but to avoid decision-making and run
to hide in Kaninlai, thinking that that might be the only way to allude
pressure. But in any case, his departure is the best and only tangible
choice available to Gambians.
