 Ramatoulie and Jennnifer,

I just want to add on to what Ndey and others have said about contacting people that have already been working on FGM, i.e the NGO, local organisations, etc. I also think that is the best way to go about it.

Jennifer, you asked me to update on what we would be doing here in Norway. Our organisation(African Youth In Norway) was contacted by Amnesty International, to work with them. Can't go into details here because we are still in the early stages. We have selected a group that is going to work on it. We are going to have a seminar very soon, but just like what Ndey and others said, we are contacting organisations and individuals that have been working on FGM. We want to invite them to this seminar, to share with us about their knowledge and work on FGM. There's a guy coming from Ghana who has worked intensively on this issue too. He's also going to participate. Then from there we are going to find out the next step to take. Since most of us in that group don't much about FGM, we feel that it is one of the best ways to learn more about FGM and also have the opportunity to meet other people that have worked so hard on this. One thing we have all decided is that there would be no pr!
ess.

After your trip can you please update us on the list. Let us also know if there's anyway we can help the groups already working on it in the Gambia.

Isatou
