First let me thank Dr Katim Touray. He did not only start Gambia-l but worked very hard to keep it going all these years. Also I would like to thank Mr Momodou Camara and all the anonymous managers past and present for working behind the scene to keep Gambia-l going. With 647 subscribed addresses and membership from all 6 continents and all works of life, we can safely say Gambia-l is the largest Gambian bantaba in the world. 

 More recently we are blessed with two National Assembly Members, sister Fatoumata Jahumpa Ceesay and brother Halifa Sallah. I congratulate them both. I pray that they will remain contributing  members despite their new job. 

I will ask them to encourage their colleagues in the National Assembly to join the bantaba. For Gambia-l has the largest concentration of Gambian telent outside and it would be great loss to the Gambia if such a resource pool is not properly utilized. To fellow subscribers, I ask you to encourage every member to stay and join in the debate.
