With all due respect, I find your piece disheartening
to say this least. Mr Chongan should be commended for
giving us a vivid account of what happened at Mile II
prison. As I understand this is Mr Chongan's first
contribution to the "L" and unfortunately your
response to his honest account seems controversial.
I see no reason why you should cast eyebrows on Mr
Chonghan's ordeal at Mile II prison. In my view, this
was uncalled for, bearing in mind that Mr Chongan,
unlike other soldiers decided to resist the Coup but
had only to surrender when our so called defender of
the Constitution-President Jawara and some Cabinet
Ministers fled for Senegal.
I therefore think Chongan deserves some respect for
being a principled soldier/police officer in upholding
the Supreme law of The Gambia- The Constitution.

So my advise is for you to focus on those who fail to
abide by their oaths.
