I wonder if using JFW2020 could be a part of the issue perhaps triggered 
by something in a recent Chrome update.

Personally, just for stuff like this, I keep 3 browsers on a system -- 
Brave (which at the moment is my default), Chrome and Edge.
Each serves a purpose but can be intertwined in a pinch.
Since Edge is my least favorite at the moment, I use it as a launching pad 
for .bat files designed to play stations that use a web-based player which 
I like to launch immediately.

Incidentally, the nice thing about Brave is that in its default mode 
blocks most advertising.

I discovered quite by accident in a Brian Hartgen  computer course.
