On Wednesday the 26th January, the Swedish Prime Minister opened an
International Conference on Holocaust in Stockholm the capital of Sweden.
The Swedish Prime Minister has initiated the project of the conference
called The Living history, which is to refresh our minds on the victims of
the holocaust. About 600 foreign delegates attended the 'holocaust
conference.
Most of the European top-politicians that are attending the conference came
from countries that have already started a painful settlement with the
holocaust victims. The investigations, which led to public apology and
economic compensation to the nazi victims, are a stage away from
silent-conspiracy.
In his opening speech, the Nobel's peace prise winner and writer, Elie
Wiesel welcome The Swedish Prime Minister Mr. Goran Persson as the architect
of the conference, and hopes that Sweden will be an example to other nations
and their leaders.

To summarise, I hope that the holocaust conference will also open our minds
as Africans, wherever we are, to try and rally together with the aim of
having a similar conference on Victims of African Slavery and Colonialism.
The OAU should now have an agenda on this topic with participants from
countries that have benefited, and victims of African slavery and
colonialism.

With Love
