Ginny, I am planning to write a series on "'why the three main religions", Islam, Judaism and Christianity, hopefully one of these days soon. It is something i have meant to do but just have not had the time. On a good translation of the Qur'an to recommend, the newest translation of the Qur'an and in my estimation the best yet is entitled: "Interpretation of the Meanings of The Noble Qur'an In The English Language. A Summarized Version of At-Tabari, Al Qurtubi and Ibn Kathir with comments from Sahih Al-Bukhari" A rather long title, but excellent as it gives you both the text, as well as hadith, which is the Islamic rules pertaining to all aspects of life , also known as the Sunnah. I will make enquiries as to whether this translation has been transcribed into Braille and let you know. Where did you see the film? I haven't been able to read much of the discussion concerning Islamic websites, since I've been very busy these last few days. Could someone give me some online sources where I can get comparisons between Islam and Christianity, as well as other religions? Also, could someone recommend a good English translation of the Koran? I'm asking because I went to see the movie The Message earlier this evening, and I'm very much intrigued. Also (and I'm not sure if anyone would know this) is there any way I could find out of the Koran has been transcribed into Braille. Thanks. Sorry for all the questions. You may respond to me privately if you'd like...
