I agree w/ you entirely. One after-effect of Senghore's rule you left out is
the Cassamance issue. That part of Senegal is burning mainly because of
Zeng's lack of candor in his negotiation w/ the Cassamance proxies in the
run-up to their nation's independence. Zeng is a smart guy. That's all I'll
give the man. If ever a political con man ruled in Africa, it was Senghore!
