He told them to make use of the seasons which Allah has preferred over other seasons. In his Friday sermon, March 24, 2000, Sheikh Alsebail said that the happy people are those who make use of these favorite seasons and come close to their Lord by doing righteous deeds. He urged those who completed the Haj rituals and had their sins expiated to maintain this state of belief. Sheikh Alsebail explained that the sign that Allah has accepted a righteous deed for His slave is that this slave will be in a better state of belief than before and he will feel more inclined to be more obedient to his Lord. The Imam lamented that many Muslims do not bother about such spiritual seasons and will let them pass by without making any use of them or doing any good deeds in order to earn the pleasure of Allah. He said that according to the authentic Hadith, the reward for the accepted Haj is Paradise, and he urged Muslims to keep on this religious spirit by doing righteous deeds and abstaining from wrongdoing, because it is good that a righteous deed and it is very bad that a righteous deed is followed by sins and wrongdoing. Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdul Bari Bin Awad Al-Thubaiti, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet's Mosque in Madina, called for Muslims in general and the pilgrims in particular, to be mindful of Allah in their covert words and deeds. In this regular Friday sermon at the Prophet's Mosques in Madina, Sheikh Al-Thubaiti warned Muslims from wrongdoing, saying that in our world of today the sinful pleasure have taken various forms, and so Muslims have to be careful and cautious in their conduct. He said that the big gathering of Muslims in the Haj season manifests the meaning of the one Muslims Ummah without any racial and ethnic differences. Sheikh Al-Thubaiti enjoined the Pilgrims to continue to be good Muslims, be proud of their religion and thank Allah for the bounty of Islam and completing a successful Haj. He said that it is now the time for the Muslim Ummah to carry out its role as the best Ummah brought out to people to encourage virtue and prevent vice. He urged the pilgrims to do their utmost to convey the simple and clear message of Islam and be a good example for the other people. Sheikh al-Thubaiti concluded his sermon by asking Muslims to revitalize the role of the mosque so that it may carry out its mission in the life of the Muslim community. -------------------------------End----------------------------------- "Our Lord! We have heard The call of one calling (Us) to Faith, 'Believe ye In the Lord,' and we Have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, Blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Thyself our souls in the company of the righteous. "Our Lord! Grant us what Thou didst promise Unto us through Thine Apostles, And save us from shame on the Day of Judgement: For Thou never breakest Thy promise."
