Rene, I have been reading your postings with keen interest. However, I am not sure how long you've been away from home, but may I suggest that you visit PDOIS' Information Bureau and at least, one of their schools anytime you happen to go to The Gambia. One thing I can assure is that you may not be a sympathizer of the Party, but you will respect them for what they truly stand for. Unlike most political parties that existed and exist in The Gambia, this is not a group of people you want to be singing praises for. So I will try as much as possible to desist from this. But, as the old English adage goes: Seeing is believing. I will respect any party that contributes tremendously towards the educational, socioeconomic and political development of my country, especially outside political office. Notwithstanding, nothing debilitated them from continuing with their agenda even in those days when the barrel of the gun was the order of the day. Thank you Rene. I respect the way you write. Now to issues confronting Messrs Ousainou Darboe and Lamin Juwara. Is it not a political maturity to desist from personal attacks and look at issues confronting our daily lives. Who really cares if these two gentlemen drink alcohol. That should be seen as an individual choice. One man's meat is another person's poison. Why can't we look at their political agenda and see what they can offer our country? Personally, I respect Ousainou for coming to the aid of his people at a time when the country was in anarchy and turmoil. It takes a courageous man to do so at a time when others were fleeing in massive numbers. It's now time to join forces to salvage our country. Seedy S.
