The new Senegalese Prime Minister, Moustapha Niasse, last night announced a 26-member transitional cabinet drawn from six political parties,  PDS, AFT, LD/MPT, And-Jeff, PIT, RND and civil society.

The new cabinet is smaller than Diouf's last cabinet which had 33 members.  Like the outgoing cabinet, the new cabinet has five women.
