Culled from Daily Observer 5/30/00 The recently sacked Secretary of State for Local government, Lands and Religious Affairs, Lamin Kaba Bajo has vowed to continue his political activities with the ruling APRC, his removal from office notwithstanding. The former army Captain made this remark during the Brikama meeting of APRC last Sunday. “People will say all that they want to say but it is my duty to attend APRC programmes. There has been a lot of noise since my removal, but I will start talking if the opposition parties say all that they can”, he said, adding that APRC has reached a stage where “only intolerance can impede the party’s efforts. The enemies of APRC will say all bad and unfounded stories about the government because they are scared of the rapid development the party is undergoing. President Jammeh has won the admiration of Gambians because of the fortunes he has brought to The Gambia.” Mr Bajo further disclosed, among others, that opposition parties “always hate to see the government develop the nation.
