Mbye, Did you know that the very Dutch team that trashed Yugoslavia 6 - 1 last weekend, lost to Morocco 2 - 1 and drew with Ghana 0 - 0, just few months ago? The Dutch team have won more matches in Euro 2000 (4) than the whole of the past 2 years. Before the Championship Holland played 16 matches and won 3, drew 11 and lost 2. Just few months ago they drew 0 - 0 with Denmark, but during the tournament they won 3 - 0 from the Danes. Your "12th man effect" or rather Johan Cruijff's effect may have been responsible. After the first round matches, Cruijff openly criticized the team for not doing their utmost. The answer to his criticism was what the "boys" did against Yugoslavia. On 2nd July the truth will out. Portugal is a much better ball handling team than any of the semi-finalist. Figo will not stopped! Their only weakness is in defense, and I'm saying that because England scored two goals against it. b) The Spanish game took a lot out of the French, it would be hard for them to be mentally levelled tomorrow, whilst Portugal had a much easier time againt the Turks. Not insinuating that the Dutch will have a cake walk over the Italians, but its in Amsterdam; the 12th man effect and the emotional hype after trashing the Yugos 6-1. Edgar Davids will neutralize the Italian midfield.
