Gambia-L: The e-mail below, as usual, came from my sources in the Gambia. Ebrima Ceesay __________________________________________________________________ Ebrima, The Kanilai murderer is not taking anything for granted these days. He has now made up his mind that Gambians at home and abroad are trying to "topple" him and his regime; so, no one can now change that perception Yahya Jammeh is now having. And although he is a "fool", he is all the same trying very hard to work out an escape route for himself and his wife if things were to deteorate in the country. To this end, Ebrima, he has just bought another mansion in Morocco, this time in Casablanca and not Rabat. The property in Casablanca, with a swimming pool and a garden, was originally "priced at $9 million US dollars", but his (Jammeh) father-in-law who bought the mansion on his (Jammeh's) behalf, succeeded in getting the seller to reduce the price from $9 million to $7.5 million dollars. And according to my understanding, the Mansion he, Jammeh, first bought in Rabat for $6 million US is actually in the name of Zainab Jammeh. Meanwhile, Yahya will also apply for a Moroccan passport by virtue of his marrriage with Zainab and which passport he could use in case of emergency. I'll try and get the necessary Morrocan e-mail addresses and fax numbers so that we can ask the Moroccan government to refuse giving him their Passport. In actual fact, his father-in-law, who is also a dubious character in his own right, had assured him that he can get him the Moroccan passport sooner rather than later, but the Kanilai dictator made it clear to him that he wants to obtain a Moroccan pasport in a legal and transparent manner. Update on Dumo Saho: Ebrima, at least, I can confirm to Annika (Dumo's wife) that her husband is still alive, although very weak. I have seen him myself (with my naked eyes) but I cannot afford to say anything more; otherwise, they may know who your source is. And you know, I cannot afford to take that risk. All I can publicly say, at this point in time, is that Dumo Saho is still alive and detained by the State, the NIA to be precise. Also, from where I saw him, he (Dumo) appeared very spirited. I can also afford to say that NIA did send a file on Dumo Saho to the Ministry of Justice, asking them whether based on the evidence gathered so far, Dumo could be "charged with treason". But this time around, Ebrima, the AG officials were with their right senses and as a result, they told the NIA point-blank that those allegations do not warrant or tantamount to a treason charge. The only thing that was on the NIA file was a vague and wild allegation to the effect that Dumo Saho was "interfering with the peace, stability and security of the Gambia." So Ebrima let Dumo's wife be told that her husband is still alive. Finally, I want to take the opportunity to thank my collaborators at the NIA, at the AG chambers and in Kanilai for the their coopreation. Ebrima, this is a team work and I have to thank all those officials cooperating with me. I am pleased that they have now all seen the corruption and the butchery of Yahya Jammeh to the point that they are collaborating with me. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
