Ebou, I do subscribe to the principle that people can disagree on issues and still engage in constructive dialogue. I do not own The Gambia. I cannot determine what people are doing to pursue their various objectives of how this nation should be governed. Some may feel that they would use legal means to change things; others may feel that they need to use arms to overthrow a government. The importance of this forum is to give each Gambian the opportunity to reflect on your role in shaping the destiny of the country. This is all. I am not a prophet and I do not need any disciples. What I am trying to do is to take each contributor seriously and engage him or her on his or her words and opinions with the hope that all of us will grow in wisdom to be of better service to The Gambia irrespective of our differences and inclinations. I hope my position is clear. Greetings. Halifa. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ebou Jallow <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wednesday, August 09, 2000 6:54 PM Subject: Re: A rejoinder to Mr Sallah. > Mr Sallah, > At your pleasure, I will always be available to iron out, very sincerely, ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html You may also send subscription requests to [log in to unmask] if you have problems accessing the web interface ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
