I agree with the observation that the swiss banking system is mired in convoluted secrecy with bank board members and defense attorneys masqueraded as commission members. This is sad and only helps to delay prosecuttion. It does not absolve the banks nor the government of Switzerland from their roles in aiding and abetting crimes against the peoples of other countries. They should have sworn not to repeat the thievery and massive coverup they had to engage in when Holocaust victim survivors demanded the return of funds looted by the banks and ultimately the Swiss govt. The Government regulates the banking industry. When the industry realizes and admits mere errors in protocol, the commission overseeing the industry must act to reverse the effects of those errors, compensate for damages or accrued interest for the time value of money over the years, and resolve to prosecute those criminals involved- be they lawyers, bankers, or board members. It is high time the Swiss govt. became proactive in cleaning up its financial systems and ridding them of money launderers and criminals. If it does not do it voluntarily, it must be subjected to do so by any means necessary. >From: Ebou Jallow <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: The Gambia and related-issues mailing list ><[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: Re: Swiss banks chastised over Nigeria billions >Date: Mon, 4 Sep 2000 19:54:35 GMT > >Interesting revelations indeed.
