Yus, My sentiments! Ideally, Gbagbo should secure his future by calling for new elections within 6 months time at the most, elections which shall be open to ALL including himself. However, I seriously doubt if he shall do that. After all, African "leaders" are not good students of history.... He is more likely to try to "pull a Guei", which tends to happen more often than not in Africa. In any case, as flawed as the case might be, he is the legitimate President of that country as determined at the ballot box by the people. I wish him luck, but more than anything else, I wish the people of Ivory coast all the best. Cheers! Madiba. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html You may also send subscription requests to [log in to unmask] if you have problems accessing the web interface and remember to write your full name and e-mail address. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
