One of the main concerns the Reagan administration had was Dr Baboucar's(forgot the last name) efforts in promoting African interest. Annan himself is being constantly reminded bb Madeline Al bright that had it not been for the U.S. he wouldn't be in his present position. The politics at the Un is vicious and i suspect one works a fine line when in Anna's position. >> ********************************************* Hello Daddy Sang, This is precisely the point, and I guess some of us big dreamers are hoping that if someone in Annan's place has to choose between being spoon fed on the job and constant reminders by those who see themselves as his mentors and therefore expect gratefullness from him, and being allowed to do the job according to his conscience and abilities, and with the dignity that would have been accorded someone else, then they would choose to latter. But perhaps having the position is what matters more than what one does in it?
