Actually, Joseph Joof is also a member of the Executive Committee of the African Center for Democracy and Human Rights Studies, the non-governmental human rights organization. If he accepts the position he would be compromising his image within the human rights community. I would not be surprised though if he does, for it is now a common sight to see turn-coat human rights activists prowling the hallways of despotic governments in Africa. You hear them uttering the cheap new rhetoric of 'serving the nation' to express their newly found 'patriotism'. How long will Africa's intelligentsia turn against their own people on behalf of despots and lunatics and to fatten their pockets?
