Gambia-L: I was shocked to have been contacted a short while ago, by BBC Local Radio Kent, during which I was informed that the body of the well known Gambian writer Ebou Dibba has just been found somewhere in Kent, in mysterious circumstances. I have been asked to give an early morning interview (8.10am Wednesday) to BBC radio Kent to talk about the life and work of Ebou Dibba. He was a Gambian of high stature: the first Gambian Fellow of the Centre of West African Studies, University of Birmingham. We shall all miss him and we send our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
