Aunty Jabou My sentiments exactly. The Problems at GRTS lies not in training or financing, but journalistic integrity. No matter how much training the staff get, the news will and shall always be the same as long as Tombong is at the helm. We all know Tombong is a true blue of APRC and being the coward that he is, he will never let GRTS broadcast anything if it does not fit the whims and caprices of his boss, YAYA. Until he stands up for the truth and report that which must be reported, I will never take him serious and this whole debate with him is futile. I have had oppurtinities to listen to GRTS and its just as lis tening to Radio Gambia. What yaya did, workshops, What other APRC bigwigs did and other irrelevant news is what you hear everyday. Let Tombong tell us how the student massacre report was reported and the critical views expressed. For enlightenment about the Gambia, never listen to GRTS. What you will hear is what YAYA wants you to know Lameen Barrow ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html You may also send subscription requests to [log in to unmask] if you have problems accessing the web interface and remember to write your full name and e-mail address. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
