Word is that The United Democratic Party has decided on the
candidates they will nominate for the upcoming by-election in Badibou
central and Kiang East constituencies.

For BADIBOU Central, the candidate will be one Mr.Lamin Dibba.  Mr.
Dibba is an official of the party with the duty of Administrative
Secretary of UDP bureau.  He used to be the deputy director of Rural
Development Project.  He had unanimous support of the party leaders
for they have confidence that he will adequately represent the people
of Badibou Central.

For KIANG East, Mr Bakary Jarju has been identified as the
condidate.  Mr. Jarju used to work at KMC but was fired because he
was reported to be a UDP supporter.  Since then he has been working
at Sunshine Insurance company.  Mr. Jarju is well respected for his
integrity and hard work.

We hope to hear a more official statement from the UDP soon with more
details about these candidates.
