The questions you raised about Mr Joof and the responses you advance aptly illustrates the nature of many a Gambian that constitute the leadership of this current regime. They are basically selfish and hideous people who have no inclination to avert all or any of the wrongs being perpetrated on the people. Don't count on Mr Joof to shepherd this regime within the confines of acceptable jurisprudence. He is officially part of a criminal and creul enterprise and the most he would volunteer is to try to creatively peddle lies and rationalizations. Why else would he accept this job? It is all about what is in it for him. The same instinct of self preservation and churlishness that he displayed as head of the bar managing to muffle a professional organization that should have been at forefront of fighting the terrorism and repression this regime has visited on the people. Like the folks he now call colleagues history would consign him to the same dust bin of infamy.
