SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS

The environment in this forum is deteriorating very rapidly to the point whereby, no one can hold a decent conversation or discussion whether pro or anti Jammeh without being unjustifiably attacked.

There was a time when some of us benefited from the wisdom of Dr. Sulayman Nyang, Dr. Tijan Sallah and many others. There are a lot of members of this forum who are not participating because they don’t want to be disrespected, insulted, branded etc. This forum should be a showcase, a model - a place where all views will be heard and given a fair chance.

WE HAVE TO AGREE TO DISAGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every one on this list has the right to choose which camp he or she belongs, pro Jammeh, anti Jammeh, neutral, indifference etc. It would be ridiculous, counter productive and boring if we are all in the same camp, be it anti or pro Jammeh. We are all calling for DEMOCRACY, so we should all respect each other’s points of views no matter how different they may be from ours.

Because of the deteriorating situation, other forums are cropping up and this would eventually lead to several small forums and I do not think that would be in our best interest. We have to avoid using words and statements that would bring animosity within us. After all we should be able to share a glass of "attaya" despite our political differences.

Let’s bring back the old Gambia-l.

PEACE

Tombong
