Frankly, I was almost miffed by the acronym MRDG (wondering what democracy ever existed in the Gambia to be worth restoring!) but I have gradually come to appreciate and value the work this Movement is doing to expose and fight the current despotic insanity obtaining in the Gambia.

I have been trying to catch up with serious issues on the L since I resubscribed last X-mas but that has turned out to be a hopeless pursuit. I need a short-cut. So would anyone kindly tell me what the MRDG is ALL about or tell me where I can obtain information about it - i.e besides the Gambia-L archives, naturally?

Cheers,
Momodou S Sidibeh
