Ous, thanks for your pledge and you can send it to: The Gambian Association of Chicago, P.O.Box 3324, Oak Park, IL 60303-3324.  You can send it in any form that is feasible to you.  Put my name if you send a check or money order: Joseph Sambou, and purpose on the memo section.  I wanted to use the name of the Gambian Association, but would have to provide an explanation to the IRS when we file as a not-for-profit civic org.   In the spirit of transparency, I have Demba Sowe and Emil Prom to provide a check and balance system.  Both of these gentlemen are Accountants by profession and officers of the Gambian Association of Chicago.  I will deposit, Emil will record, and Demba will reconcile.  We will provide an update of the detail listing of all the donors and their amounts every Friday, for public records purpose.  Also, the pledge effort will continue to ALD and beyond.  Please spread the word to others who may not have heard.  Again, thanks for all your efforts in the struggle.
