Comrades: Please remain strong and respond to Brother Sambou's request. I am totally ashamed that this important request was pushed to the gutter because some of us are consumed with this "Jereh Jarju" affair. I personally do not care who the person is, and will actually take his insults as motivation in our struggle. We need to hear from you about the fund drive. We need to stop the talk and walk the walk. Our empty intellectual tirades serve no purpose in freeing The Gambia from the butcher of kaninlai. For a personal endorsement, I met Brother Joe Sambou in Atlanta in 1999. I was moved by his sincerity and determination for a free and democratic Gambia. Brother Sambou reminded me of the late Fa Ansumana Sambou of Faraba Banta, who though a Christian was respected by the villagers. He was father's best friend who I dare pass without greeting him and calling him "fa." When he died, almost all the Moslems were sad because he left a vacuum that no Christian could fill. In this summation, I am calling on you to send your donations to Brother Sambou. "Jereh Jarju" and company are coming forth to distract our fund drive. They know that with our ability to collect funds for the opposition, their vote buying and endless lies to The Gambian people will be the priority of the oppressed to derail. They are afraid that we will have the ability to unite opposition. Please, I am again begging you to not respond to "Jereh Jarju." Whenever you see his e-mails, kindly delete them.
