Gambia-l,

yes, we all prefer ballots to bullets.  But what alternatives do we have when these APRC criminals rig elections, intimidate and arrest opponents, and deny many their right to participate in the political process?

The reality of present day Gambia includes all of the political vices alluded to in my question.  Just read between the lines of the various newspapers, and you will see what I mean.  I have serious doubts about the viability of the electoral process as a means of effecting change under the new regime.  That is a fact.  We better work on alternatives before its too late.

BTW, those of us on the ground plan to join the demonstration against the media bill scheduled for May 3 at Westfield.

Keep the Fire Burning!
