Essa, thanks for your thoughts.  The Purpose of the fund is to support a united opposition or party of the donors choosing.  This can only come about if you, myself, and all interested parties discuss this issue.  The objective is to change the political landscape in the Gambia - boot APRC out.  We all need to plan this, together.  Remember it's a democracy we are trying to build - no one owns this process, but us all.  As for transparency and accountability, all that contributed have seen their money posted on the L and I am responsible for all the money collected.  I also have two fine gentlemen from the the Gambian Association of Chicago, Emil Prom and Demba Sowe, to provide a check and balance system.  Emil is receiving and opening the mail.  He keeps a list of all who donated and I also keep a list.  I then deposit the funds in the bank and post an update to the list every Friday when we receive donations.  At intervals, we have Demba Sowe to reconcile between bank and book.  So, for transparency and accountability, us three control and provide to everyone interested.  However, the purpose, objective, and plan, all that are interested in change in The Gambia need to come up with.  I am no more Gambian than you are and our destiny should not rest on any one shoulder, but all's.  There is always room for improvement and your suggestions as to how we can make this process more efficient is highly welcomed.  I hope my responses helped in answering your questions or concerns.  Thanks for your interest and I hope you join us in this endeavor.
