Mr. Bah, The information that I have as of now, is that it is a french system by ALCATEL and works within the 900 Mhz frequency range as obtains in Europe. It is available nationwide and has an ultimate capacity of 50,000 lines. I hope this is of some help. Have a good day and bye 4Now, KB Jobe. > > >----Original Message Follows---- >From: Alieu Bah <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: The Gambia and related-issues mailing list > ><[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: GSM in The Gambia >Date: Fri, 1 Jun 2001 13:33:32 -0000 > >Folks, > >Now that GSM has been implemented in The Gambia, does anyone has any >information (preferably technical) about its status as of today >01-06->2001. >I have talked with a couple of friends in The Gambia and the >information I >got is a bit scanty. > >I checked Gamtel's website but unfortunately there's no information >about >it. > >Thanks in advance for your help. > > >Regards, >Alieu > > _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html You may also send subscription requests to [log in to unmask] if you have problems accessing the web interface and remember to write your full name and e-mail address. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
