Culled from the AP Thursday June 14 5:26 PM ET Bush Picks Ambassador to Gambia WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush (news - web sites) has picked veteran diplomat Jackson McDonald as ambassador to Gambia. McDonald, whose selection was announced Thursday, currently is deputy chief of mission in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He has been stationed previously in Liberia, France, Russia and Lebanon.
