LOVE,for Allah's Sake Allah has laid down for us,in this life, guidelines for happiness. If we follow the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet,(peace be upon him),our life will be good and rewarding. It is up to us to live a life of goodness and show by example that we are Muslims. and also to promote goodness. It is true that everyone is responsible only for his own actions. The Prophet Mohammad told us that whoever promotes good actions and guides others to do good he shall have a share in that person's reward till the day of judgement. But in the same way the Prophet also warned us that whoever promotes evil and guides others to do evil he shall have his share of the evil similar to those who are doing evil, till the day of judgement. You may well ask,how do we promote good actions. It is very simple.Goodness can be promoted simply by setting a good example,in doing good and speakinggood. But the very best thing you canever do in this lifeis,as the Prophet said,to love one anotherfor the sake of Allah. In a Hadith Qudsi, the Prophet,(peace be upon him)said:" Allah love those who love each other for Allah's sake and loves those who meet with each other for Allah 's sake.On the day of judgement,Allah will call those people saying to them,' where are those who loved each other for my sake?' The Prophet,(peace be upon him),said: " You shall not enter Paradise unless you become Mu'min and you shall not be Mu'min unless you love one another." The Prophet then said: " Shall I tell you about what will make you love each other? Spread peace among yourselves.Keeping one's peace and spreading peace amongst brothers is the way towards loving one another." The Prophet, upon whom be peace, also said: Shall I tell you about an action that is ever more rewarding than prayer, fasting or charity? It is spreading peace among one another." Brother and sisters! The most important way to spread peace is never to say anything harmful to your brother or sister for it is haram. Not to speak to your brother or sister for longer than three days is also haram. So keep your tongue clear and your heart pure. The Prophet,(peace be upon him),said :" Tell the person whom you love that you love him." I want you to notice here the wisdom of the Prophet because he did not say: Tell the person whom you do not like that you do not like him. When two Muslims meet each other and shake hands Allah will forgive them before they part. The Prophet told the people:" Do not tell me anything bad about my companions because I come to you with a clean heart and a pure mind." Once a man went to visit his brother in Islam. On the way he met a stranger who asked him where he was going,The man replied that he was going to visit his brother in the next village. The stranger then asked whether he was going to visit the person for business. The man replied that he was going to visithis brother only for the sake of Allah whereupon the stranger said:I am a messenger of Allah sent to tell you that Allah loves you because you love your brother for His sake. I pray that we shall love one another for the sake of Allah,so that we shall all enjoy being together in paradise.
