Coach, thanks for your post. I still do not understand why some people feel that they can interpret for people what anyone writes on this list. Whether Chongan was responding to Ebou Colly (AND I KNOW THAT) makes no difference to me. What matters is, he was a victim of others and has also victimize a great many, and I do not need any interpretations for the linguists on that point. Some of the rantings is really becoming ridiculous. But you know what, we shall tell the truth for it shall set us free. This kind of attitude is the same that was demonstrated by some of our people after the April massacre. As long as we are not directly affected, its not painful and not that bad. You have one person victimized on the one hand, and he victimized many others on the other hand and we are supposed to ignore the latter. What kind of nonsense (excuse my language) is that. I do not write on this list to make friends, and I am not here for the buddy business. I know Chongan and could have kept quiet because of that. This could have been anyone and I will still say it like it is. I know Sam Sarr as a brother, neighbor, and civilian but do not know much of his activities as a soldier, which is why you would never hear me comment on his army activities. Folks need to keep quiet when they do not know what they are talking about, and frankly some of us get that disease, bad. Why would I be spiteful towards my younger brother, Chongan, who I have not seen or talked to for more than 15 years? I hold my own on all levels and only those who do not know me would waste their time to dwell on that. Folks, we all want to see Jammeh out, but do not for a moment think that you can dictate what approach each should take.
By the way, Chongan is not the first that I challenge their record against our people. Remember, Ebou Jallow? After stealing our money, he came on gambianews/voiceout to tell us what a thief Yahya is. I applauded him for coming forth, then lambasted him on the money he stole from us do not want to discuss. I grew up with his brother, but that is no reason to turn the other way. Both stole from us, therefore both should be chastised and prosecuted when that day comes. Good hearing from you Coach. I will keep you posted on the preparations for the Midwest Gambian Association Conference, in September.
