My dear friends, let's be realistic. What else do you want to hear about Chongan's actions while in power? You have seen the narrations of Joe and Kebba Jobe and these are just a few. We are yet to hear from the man himself to defenf his actions. We cannot ignore what he did if we are going to look at what he went through.
Chongan abused his powers. I witnessed a decent man who was humiliated at the independence stadiom in the presence of his family (wife and kids) with kicks and slaps for just attempting to pass through a gate from the pavilion down to the field, long after the game was over. It was under the commands of Chongan. The guy was no security threat. What was wrong with telling the man that he could not go that way and there was no president or high-ranking government official under their protection. The boys were just demonstrating their powers.
The thing is Chongan was wrong and he should be told. Whether he is giving us information about what he went through or not. As joe puts it, we should not forget what one did just because he/she is reporting what is been done to him/her. The pie will be distributed accordingly.
We cannot forget about the past if we want to look at the present for a better future. Just because we do not like those in charge now should not warrant us to give a blind face to those in charge then and theier actions. We better talk about both or BE QUIET.
I am sorry if I offend anybody but this is the truth. Ousainou, you are on the right track.
