The Independent newspaper has no connection whatsoever with this new website, which, if I may also clarify, is not a POLITICAL website. I had volunteered to serve as the website's editor, but that does not mean that it has any connections with The Independent newspaper back in The Gambia. It is also important to state here that I had volunteered on condition that this website will function purely as a private news media, and not as a tool of political propaganda.
