Schoolchildren Appeal to President Jammeh

A Nationwide coalition of thousands of school going children in The Gambia
have formally written to the Gambian President, Alhaji Dr. Yahya A.J.J.
Jammeh.

The Letter contained an appeal from the students to the President.




The students appealed to President Jammeh to become the Chief Patron of
their newly formed National Patriotic Students Association.

In their letter, a copy of which was sent to the media, the students
described President Jammeh as their hero whom they all look up to. They also
used the opportunity to thank the President for the tremendous strides that
his government had made in the field of Education since 1994.

The letter was signed by the Steering Committee of NAPSA which is made up of
dozens of Senior Secondary School Headboys, Headgirls and Senior Prefects
from all over The Gambia.
