Culled From The observer Dibba denies lambasting Darboe The NCP leader and presidential candidate for the forthcoming election, Sheriff Mustapha Dibba, has strongly denied lambasting the UDP led coalition flag bearer, Lawyer Ousainou Darboe. Reacting to the story published in the Monday edition of the Daily Observer, captioned “Dibba lambasts Darboe”, Mr Dibba said he had only urged Darboe to go back to the courts and continue his profession as a lawyer, “because the entire Gambians know him as a lawyer. The way the story was reported by the Daily Observer ‘s Monday edition was totally wrong,” Dibba said. Mr Dibba said he harboured no bad intention for Darboe, because they were friends and “infact, he was the one who stood for me as my defence counsel when the PPP regime accused me of planning to overthrow the government in 1981. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp <<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>> To view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html <<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>
