Beran,

With the utmost respect to you, i seem to have difficulties in understanding your post.  I have a bit of a problem with your analysis.

If i am right, the protest is not against the position of military attache but the personality appointed to the post.  We all know that many embassies have military attaches and rightly so.  However, i presume it is right for whoever is appointed to such a  post to have an  unblemished record in the eyes of those he is representing.  In many countries such a guy like this Tijan Bah won't even be considered cos he is  known to be a nasty piece of work.

And your inference on us to take a leave from that 'misguided self-appointed political analyst'  Jassey-Conteh on constructive engagement makes me feel very uneasy.

Beran, how can one have a constructive engagement with the Jammeh regime, when we all know that these people do not have any semblance of decency for such.   I will not bore you with what has been going on  since the election in October since you are the source of most news on the L.

Beran, to move a country we need a vibrant and vigilant citizenry.  For me, the opposition on this forum is indeed providing a voice on how to move the country forward.  We are doing what is required of genuine patriots.  We do not need to with Jammeh and or anyone else to contribute our quota to the country's development.  The mere fact that we are voicing our concerns in whatever way we feel appropriate is good for me.

The government is appointed to manage our affairs by the electorate and thus we have an absolute right to question how our affairs are managed and we do not need to sweet-talk them in demanding our rights.

Anyway, have a good day.  Eid Mubarak and Happy christmas and new year.

regards,

Mboge
